Teen Conference Takes a Step in a New Direction

The Covid-19 crisis forced the cancellation of MPSI's 2020 Giant Step Teen Conference. This was the first year Giant Step didn't occur since it first started 39 years ago.  Covid-19 continues to be unpredictable but we didn't want to cancel a second year. So the planning committee created a Zoom version with the same mission: To help high school students from southeastern Michigan get to know each other and discover all the wonderful things they have in common.

We're starting to recruit participants, so mark your calendar. School counselors or other teachers will register students in advance.  Open to 9th and 10th graders only.

Giant Step Teen Conference
Tuesday, October 26 from 9 am Noon

We can't have 300 teens in the Wayne State Student Ballroom, but we'll still have inspirational snippets, small facilitated discussion groups, icebreakers and report outs. If your school has struggled to bring students to Giant Step because of transportation problems, here's your chance to participate. Visit the Giant Step webpage after June 1 to register.
