Biography
Bonika completed her bachelor's degree in psychology from Fayetteville State University in North Carolina. Now she is earning her Master of Social Work with a Dual-Title Degree in Infant Mental Health and is interning at Nature's Playhouse. She previously worked in community mental Health for over 13 and 2 years in child welfare. She was intrigued by the field of infant mental health after taking Psychology of Infant Behavior and Development. She was drawn to the field to gain more insight into infants' development and attachment to their caregivers. After graduation, Bonika plans to become certified (PMH-C) in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder to help and support families struggling with postpartum. As well as study for Social Work and Infant Mental Health license exams. She plans to work as a therapist and provide group support for parents and children.
