Ajene Gailliard

Biography

 Ajene Gailliard, is a dual title PhD candidate in Social Work and Infant Mental Health who obtained the Social Work Graduate Certificate in Research and Evaluation at Wayne State University. She was also appointed to the Merrill Palmer Skillman Fellowship Program for two years. Many of her research interests stem from her personal and professional experiences, as she focuses her efforts on the intergenerational transmission of trauma, the biopsychosocial effects of trauma exposure during the perinatal period, and the intersections of trauma, race, and health disparities in medical and mental health service systems.
