Job Title: STUDENT TEACHER ASSISTANT (Part-time Position) for MPSI Early Childcare Center, WSU

Days/hours & duration of job: Up to 20 hours/week, Monday-Friday (8:00am-12:00pm) (12:00pm-4:00pm)
Wage/Salary: $15.00/hour
Employment Start Date: 2022-2023 Fall & Winter Semester
Job Description: Assist Lead Teacher and other staff in supervising children in daily learning experiences and throughout daily routines.
Maintain positive and respectful interactions with children, families and staff. Respect the confidentiality of all information related to children and families. Report all matters of concern regarding children, families and the program to the lead teacher and/or director.
Assist in the nurturance, caregiving, and social/emotional wellbeing of preschool-aged children.

• Qualifications:

• Negative TB test (current within 2 years)

• Health Appraisal (current within 2 years)

• State of Michigan Child Care Background Check with Fingerprinting * Pediatric First Aid & CPR certified

• Blood Borne Pathogen Training

• Early Childhood/Elementary Ed majors. Work experience with children ages 2-6 preferred. Must be punctual, have good attendance, and be reliable. Applicant must conduct oneself in a professional and ethical manner.
