The Early Childhood Center follows the Wayne State University academic calendar, closing for all major holidays. We also close periodically during the year for staff professional development training, The pre-school calendar lists specific dates.

Emergency Closure

If Wayne State University closes due to inclement weather, the early childhood center will close. Information about weather related closures will be posted on Channels 2, 4, 7 and news radio 950. Parents will also be notified via e-mail of the school closing.

If the Early Childhood Center is closed due to a building emergency (power failure, lack of heat etc.) the information will be posted as stated in the above paragraph. If it is necessary to close after school is in session, parents and guardians will be contacted using the information listed on each child's information record.
