There is a non-refundable registration fee of $50. The tuition is for preschoolers (2 ½ - 5 years of age) is $160 per week or $35 per day. The fee schedule has been calculated to include absences due to illness and unanticipated closings due to weather. There are no "MAKE-UP" days or refunds for sick children. Please note there will be no tuition reimbursement for emergency closure, holidays and/or sick days.

Tuition Assistance
Tuition assistance is available to qualified children through the following:
The Campus Childcare Access Means Parents in School Program (CCAMPIS) Grant, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, provides Pell Grant eligible undergraduate students up to a 100% reduction in tuition for their preschool-aged children at the Child Development Lab.
The Michigan School Readiness Program (MSRP) provides free half-day childcare for 4 year-olds placed at risk for educational challenges.

Vacation Policy
Each family is allowed two weeks of vacation free-of-charge if the following criteria are met: the time needs to be taken in one-week blocks; and a Vacation Request Form must be completed and submitted at least two weeks prior to the vacation. Failure to meet these criteria will result in the full charge of tuition.
Late Fees
Our hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please pick your child up on the appointed time. If you anticipate being late, please call the CDL Office at (313) 873-0724 or (313) 873-1607 and inform the Director. The CDL has a grace period of five minutes per month where no fee will be charged. After this grace period has been exhausted, a fee of $1.00 per minute is charged. Parents who are late will be required to sign a Late Fee Form with the time and date of their tardiness. The staff member will also sign the form and enter the mount of the fee. Again, we do appreciate your call, however a late fee will still be applied to your account. Late fees are expected to be paid on the date of the occurrence, when the child is picked up from the CDL. Students with outstanding Late Fees will not be allowed to return to the CDL until the fee is paid.
