MPSI is located in the historic Freer House, about one block north of the Detroit Institute of Arts and several blocks east of Wayne State University's central campus. Parking is available in the lot behind the Freer House, with entrance off of John R. (A $3.50 parking fee is required - bills are accepted, but quarters are recommended.)
Driving Directions:
From Eastbound I-94
- Exit at Woodward/John R
- Turn right onto John R (one way), heading south
- The parking lot is the first driveway on the right after Palmer Street and before you reach Ferry Avenue
- Cross the parking lot to enter the back of the Freer House carriage house - the main entrance to building is at 71 East Ferry Avenue
From the Lodge (M-10)
- Take the Lodge to I-94 East
- Exit at Woodward/John R
- Turn right onto John R (one way), heading south
- The parking lot is the first driveway on the right after Palmer Street and before you reach Ferry Avenue
- Cross the parking lot to enter the back of the Freer House carriage house - the main entrance to building is at 71 East Ferry Avenue
From I-75
- Exit at Warren Avenue, heading west on Warren toward Woodward
- Turn right onto Woodward, heading north
- Turn right onto Palmer Street, heading east
- Turn right onto John R, heading south

- Cross the parking lot to enter the back of the Freer House carriage house - the main entrance to building is at 71 East Ferry Avenue
